Pasidium offers extremely powerful "Search" features including a normal search engine, a parameterised advanced search engine, fuzzy logic searches which enable the user to ask questions and a familiar contents index. The full range of searching capabilities are outlined as follows:

• Combined Data and Content Searching

When a document is published to Pasidium its contents and the additional information (meta-data) you enter are indexed to create a searchable unit of knowledge.

• Fuzzy Logic Searches

The search engine uses fuzzy logic to more accurately find results from the knowledge store.

• Saved Searches

Searches can be saved in Pasidium so that you can retrieve that same sub-set of information again at any time.

• Web Spidering

When a web site is added to Pasidium, the Web Spider service searches the remote site and indexes the information contained within. This then becomes part of the searchable knowledge store.

• Search Agent

A user can select to have the search agent periodically run saved searches to look for new content that may have been added that fits the criteria of a search. The user is then alerted to the new content by email.
